Since 2016, Lily Popkin has been the Sepsis Coordinator for Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, CO. She is accountable for assessing and overseeing the management of potential septic patients or those who have been diagnosed with sepsis. She has provided clinical and professional guidance in congruence with evidence based practice. She has implemented rapid screening and diagnosis with early intervention in the emergency room and inpatient units. Among her accomplishments, Lily was nominated for the Nightingale Award in 2018 for her work in sepsis care.
Prior to being a Sepsis Coordinator, Lily was an emergency room and inpatient nurse with a passion for process improvement involving critically ill patients. Lily completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Pittsburgh in 2013, and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University in 2016.
