Michael G. Seelman, BSN, MS

Michael grew up in Pittsburgh and received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and his Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from LaRoche College.  Michael and his wife Patricia of 31 years have made a home in Boardman for the past 25 years. They have two grown children.

With a total of over 30 years in healthcare and 15 years in senior healthcare leadership, Michael joined Mercy Health early in 2013 after spending 10 years in various leadership roles at Forum Health / ValleyCare hospital system including 6 years as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of hospital operations. He was also honored to be recognized as finalist for the Ohio Hospital Association, Hospital Employee of the year in 2007. Early in his career, Michael was published for his work in developing a home health nursing program for behavioral health patients. He expanded this effort across 30 states as part of his work with a national home health care agency in the early late 1980s.

Michael remains a member of many professional organizations in the region and is very active on several community boards in the Mahoning Valley.
